Fleming & Botha in 'Otello' Broadcast Live 3/1 from Met

Verdi's dramatic masterpiece, Otello, will be broadcast live over the Toll Brothers-Metropolitan Opera International Radio Network on March 1, 2008, at 1PM EST, featuring world renowned soprano Renée Fleming as Desdemona and South African tenor Johan Botha in the title role.

Botha, sings the challenging role of Otello for the first time at the Met this season.  The broadcast also includes baritone Carlo Guelfi as the devious Iago and Russian conductor Semyon Bychkov leading the performance.

The intermission will feature backstage interviews with stars Renée Fleming and Johan Botha.
