First Look At THE SOUND OF MUSICALS, Kicking Off 11/12
A new three-part documentary series bringing viewers behind the scenes of a handful of currently running West End musicals kicks off tomorrow night on UK TV, titled THE SOUND OF MUSICALS.
CHARLIE & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, THE BODYGUARD, THE BOOK OF MORMON, TOP HAT and more West End hits are highlighted in the new special Channel 4 series presented in three parts.
The first episode of THE SOUND OF MUSICALS focuses on CHARLIE & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, featuring interviews with director Sam Mendes and more.
In each episode, the casts, crew and creative of the musicals talk about the highs and lows of putting on a show - indeed, "It's almost like something out of THE GODFATHER!" an observer explains of the underhanded nature of the business.
THE SOUND OF MUSICALS premieres on Channel 4 in the UK tomorrow at 9 PM.
