The very first footage of popular West End theatre star Julian Ovenden in his highly touted new featured role on international hit period soap Downton Abbey is now available to view in a preview just released of the sixth episode of the new season.

Ovenden portrays dashing aristocratic businessman Charles Blake on the Julian Fellowes-penned series, which will soon also feature fellow guest star addition Paul Giamatti in the coming weeks, as well as returning favorite Shirley MacLaine, before the series concludes for the season prior to the annual Christmas special.

The first appearance of Ovenden's character, who has already been tantalizingly discussed in the build-up to the presentation of his character on the season thus far, will occur in next week's episode, titled "The Help".

And, remember, only three episodes of Downton Abbey remain in Season Four before the hiatus leading up to Christmas!

DOWNTON ABBEY airs in the UK Sundays on ITV. Season Four of the series will air in the US beginning in January on PBS.
