First Lady Michelle Obama finished off the Inaugural Weekend festivities attending two balls last night in a custom gown by the designer she catapulted to fame four years ago: Jason Wu. The designer responded last night on Twitter with: ""
The first lady looked absolutely stunning in the red creation by Wu. Wu spoke to WWD saying that she "surprised me again. She's really good at it ... I was so nervous. You'd think I wouldn't be since I'd experienced it before but I really was." When asked about his creative process, he said, "Last time, I had to go with my gut. I instinctively had to think of the woman in the dress. After four years in office, I thought the country was ready to see a confident First Lady in red." I think he's right!
