I am on the fence about this look from Emma Stone. Ever since her Calvin Klein moment at the 2011 Oscars, Ms. Stone has established herself as a force on the red carpet. At the Elle Magazine 19th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute she wore a fuschia Valentino dress with a crisp white collar and cuffs.
I love the silhouette and her houndstooth shoes. But that is where my love stops. I think Ms. Stone looks too buttoned up and mature with her hair up, stiff collar and shear sleeves. There is a fine line between looking ladylike and dowdy. Maybe if the dress was black and her shoes or purse was the pop of color the look might have looked younger.
