FMPAT Announces New Student Audition Dates for Fall Term 2010

By:

FMPAT is pleased announce Auditions for new students for 2010 Fall Term. Auditions will be held on the following dates: Friday, June 18, Saturday, July 24, and Friday, August 27 by appointment only. Openings are filled on a space available basis, so auditioning early is advised.

Since 1993 FMPAT's Young Artist Training Program has been providing professional level training for students interested in pursuing a career in the performing arts. Our program is one of the areas oldest and most unique youth training programs. The audition only program is purposely quite small to afford us the opportunity to offer a very low teacher student ratio. Students are able to work with the areas top teachers and working professionals. We have a wonderful history of producing outstanding young professional performers, directors, producers and choreographers. Fall term includes opportunities for students to work with lead teachers/coaches Stephanie Riggs for Musical Theatre and Mark Mullino for Acting.

Auditions: All youth and teen students, ages 7 - 18 must audition for the program. Only a limited number of students will be accepted, on a space available basis. Previous experience is helpful, but not necessary, as the faculty looks for bright, naturally gifted children that are ready to learn and whom take direction well. Our program is for the student who is craving a professional work environment, where they will be challenged constantly to work to the best of their abilities among other young performers with similar goals and dedication.

Information on what to prepare for the auditions, along with other important program information may be found in the YATP 2009 - 2010 Student Handbook found on the Admissions page in the Children's School section of our website.

To schedule an audition, email FMPATheatre@aol.com or call 972-724-0727. Due to very limited openings and high interest, new students are encouraged to audition early for the best chance at a space in the program.

Fall term classes begin on Saturday, August 28. Please make sure to read and familiarize yourself with the program prior to attending the auditions.

Please feel free to share this email with any talented, young performer that you feel would benefit from our program. Financial Aid is available for families that qualify. It is the goal of the program to not turn away any accepted student due to an inability to pay tuition.
