BATS Improv presents "Family Drama," a completely improvised stage play inspired by audience suggestions!! The show runs Saturdays, tonight, November 9, 16, 23, and 30 at 8pm at the Bayfront Theater (B350 Fort Mason Center, San Francisco, CA 94123).
Family Drama uniquely blends the compelling narrative of a three-act stage play with the excitement and surprise of improvisation. Like many traditional American plays, the story will unfold in real time, on a single set, and with each actor portraying only one character. This hilarious drama is also completely improvised...the only thing the actors know is that their characters are somehow related and that they are getting together for the holidays. The audience selects the title for the show, which inspires the themes, relationships, stories, etc. Everything else is created right in front of the everyone's eyes!
Founded in 1986, BATS has become the premier improvisational performing company and improv training school in the Bay Area, attracting more than 12,000 audience members and 1,300 workshop enrollments every year. www.improv.org
Tickets are $17 general admission, $20 at the door, and are available through the BATS website www.improv.org or by phone (415) 474-6776. Email - bats@improv.org.
