Exclusive: Andy Mientus Joins Cast of FX's ANGER MANAGEMENT

Andy Mientus, who made an exciting TV debut last season as Kyle on NBC's Smash, has landed a role on FX's Charlie Sheen comedy Anger Management. Industry sources say that Mientus will play a potential love interest this season to Patrick, who is played by Mientus' real life beau, Michael Arden.

Prior to his breakout role on Smash, Mientus starred in the touring company of Spring Awakening, a musical that also launched the careers of several other twenty-somethings including original stars Lea Michele, John Gallagher Jr., and Jonathan Groff.

Produced by Lionsgate Television and distributed by Debmar-Mercury, Anger Management stars Sheen stars as "Charlie," a non-traditional therapist specializing in anger management. He has a successful private practice, holding sessions with his group of primary patient regulars each week, as well as performing pro bono counseling for an inmate group at a state prison. Selma Blair, Shawnee Smith, Daniela Bobadilla, Barry Corbin, Michael Arden, Derek Richardson and Noureen DeWulf co-star. Bruce Helford is Executive Producer/Showrunner. Joe Roth, Mark Burg, Dave Caplan, Bob Kushell and Vince Totino are Executive Producers.
