Eden Espinosa to Join Katie Thompson for 7/10 Concert

Wicked's Eden Espinosa will be a special guest at Katie Thompson's 'KT: Live" CD release party/concert on July 10th at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.

Thompson has been nominated for a Pearl Award for her Vocal Performance on Safe Harbors, and for an Indie Award for 'Connie Lou's Christmas.'  In 2001, she recorded an album of riginal music called "What I've Done Right," which can be purchased directly on iTunes. 

Now, Thompson brings her live set of 19 songs to her latest CD, 'KT: Live."   She will take to the stage for a 7pm concert, featuring Wicked's Espinosa on a duet of Katie's composition 'Stay.'   A reception and autograph signing of her new CD will follow.  Fans will have the opportunity to purchase the CD prior to its official street date.  The evening will be produced by Scott Alan.

Espinosa, who was nominated for a 2005 Drama League Award for Distinguished Performance for playing the title role in Brooklyn, currently plays Elphaba in Broadway's Wicked; she was previously a stand-by in the show. Regionally, she has appeared in Triumph of Love, and can be heard on the concept album of Bright Lights, Big City, on "The Maury Yeston Songbook" and others.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located at 407 West 42nd Street at Ninth Avenue. There is a $15 cover charge and a $15 food/drink minimum. Showtime starts at 7pm.  Call (212) 695-6909 for reservations between the hours of noon and 8 PM.
