RJ Communications announces the World Premiere of the one-act play, "Enough VO5 For The Universe" written and directed by Melanie Maria Goodreaux and starring Maryam Myika Day (full cast list below) at the 2017 New York Theatre Summer Festival.

Performances begin August 28th at 6:15pm; September 1st at 9pm; and September 3rd at 3:30 pm; all performances at the Hudson Guild Theatre - 441 W. 26th Street New York, NY 10001.

"Enough VO5 For The Universe" is set in the year 2097. The last three black women on Earth engage in a death-dealing battle over love, hair, and the mysterious whereabouts of the last man left in the world. With bald heads, shea butter, and the power to delete anyone Mona Machine, Dr. Dorinda, and Ann Tenna survive a worldwide cataclysm in this fierce dark comedy.

The cast stars Maryam Myika Day (Broadway's "42nd Street", NBC's "Law & Order," FX's "Rescue Me," Sony Pictures' "Fort Pit,"), also starring are: Marcos Palma ("Orange is the New Black") Sean Labbe ("The Blacklist"), Tamara SRK Malawitz, Lauren Marissa Smith and Charles Everett ("Grand Theft Auto V").

Premiering in the summer of 2012 in New York City, the Summerfest Festivals are an annual event and competition for performing arts, actors, playwrights and musicians.

Actress, writer, and Telly Award-winning producer, Maryam Myika Day was recently cast in a supporting role for the feature film, "SMARTASS" starring Joey King and penning and will co-star in the untold story of Motown's Tammi Terrell in the upcoming biopic, MOUNTAIN HIGH, starring Kat Graham. Maryam is also credited in a leading role for in the pilot entitled MYS*EDU*CA*TION, co-starring in the feature film Palm Swings alongside Jason Lewis, of the Sex and the City franchise, National Network and Cable commercial for Burger King, National VO spot for Carl's Jr, radio spots for McDonalds, Honda and Western Union. Additionally, she has appeared on NBC's Law & Order, FX's Rescue Me, and Sony Pictures' Fort Pit. She also written for the stage, creating a three-person play entitled, Love Me RICHIE! With its world premiere at the 2013 Hollywood Fringe Festival that same year her short film Waiting for SuperMEN?! premiered at the prestigious Palm Springs International Shorts Film Festival. Maryam also produced the award-winning television series "Real Moms, Real Stories, Real Savvy" for PBS, earning her 3 Telly Awards. Her on stage credits include the 2001 Tony Award Winning Broadway Revival of 42nd Street, New York's Off-Broadway stage performances for the Negro Ensemble's World Premiere of, Offspring and the New Federal Theatre's premiere of Satchel: A Requiem for Racism.
