The Drowsy Chaperone will be among the productions dancing into Toronto next year, according to CBC Arts.

Dancap Productions, headed by of Dancap Global Asset Management and Dancap Private Equity president and philanthropist Aubrey Dan, "will launch with a packed theatre season for 2007-08 that includes My Fair Lady, Avenue Q, Jersey Boys, 3 Mo' Divas and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee."

The Drowsy Chaperone, with a Tony-winning score by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison and Tony-winning book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar, will once again star Martin as Man in Chair, whose vivid imagination takes the audience into the 1920s musical of the title.

Dan is also among the co-producers of Broadway's The Pirate Queen and the touring company of 3 Mo' Divas, and has presented Canadian productions of Urinetown, Ain't Misbehavin' and Hair.  The six musicals will be staged at the Elgin and Winter Garden Theatres in Toronto, except for My Fair Lady, which will be staged at the Toronto Centre for the Arts upon ending its 50th anniversary tour in the U.K.

"Our colleagues in the visual arts, ballet and opera are making great contributions to the revitalization of this city and we're eager and determined to bring more exceptional theatre to Toronto audiences," said Dan.

Individual ticket sales begin June 18th after season tickets and memberships go on sale April 28th.
