The Dramatists Guild of America will host another seminar in its ongoing "Contracts 101" series on Monday, May 11, this one discussing Agency Agreements. Hosted by the Guild's Business Affairs Department, attendees will learn the basic terms typical to such contracts. The seminar is scheduled from 5:30 - 7pm.

Panelists will go into detail on some of the most complex, yet important, provisions including reasonable expectations for an author/agent relationship, authors' obligations when an agent changes agencies, common contingencies when a represented author also signs on with a publisher/licensor house, and how to develop, maintain, and police an international presence. The panel will feature one of the Guild's well-known and well-produced playwrights, a first-class theater attorney, and agents whose collective expertise spans developing productions, Broadway and West-End standards, international contingencies and opportunities, publishing, and more.

The seminar will take place at the Dramatists Guild's New York office, in the Frederick Loewe Room, 1501 Broadway (between 43rd and 44th Streets), Suite 710. This seminar is open to the public and reservations are required. Admission is free for Dramatists Guild members and $10 for the general public.

To enter the building at 1501 Broadway, you will need to present photo ID. For reservations and further information, please contact Tari Stratton at tstratton@dramatistsguild.com, or call (212) 398-9366, ext. 20.
