DOUBT made it onto Variety's Top 10 list for the first time, for the week of September 5-11, 2005.The production was the 8th highest grossing production on Broadway, a rare feat for a new play.

All four DOUBT cast members have been honored for their performances: Cherry Jones won Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, Lucille Lortel and Obie awards for Best Actress in a Play; Brían F. O'Byrne received Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards as Best Actor in a Play; Heather Goldenhersh was honored with a Theatre World Award for her Broadway debut; and Adriane Lenox is the winner of the Tony, Drama Desk and Lucille Lortel Awards for Best Featured Actress in a Play.
Director Doug Hughes received Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Lortel Awards for his direction of DOUBT, and an Obie Award for sustained excellence.
Set against the backdrop of a Bronx Catholic school in 1964, DOUBT is the story of a strong-minded woman faced with a difficult decision. Should she voice concerns about one of her male colleagues even if she's not entirely certain of the truth?
