According to People.com Tony Award winning actor Dick Van Dyke has tied the knot with 40 year old make-up artist Arlene Silver. Van Dyke, 86, met Silver six years ago at the SAG Awards. They were married on Leap Day.

Van Dyke is best known for a long and successful film and television career including The Dick Van Dyke Show, Diagnosis Murder, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Mary Poppins. He won a Tony Award for his performance in Bye Bye Birdie and starred in Broadway's 1980 revival of The Music Man.

Van Dyke told RumorFix.com  "I'm not a loner. I have to have a life partner. I found the perfect one." He said the decision to marry was a "spur of the moment" one and they just decided "Leap Day would be the best day to do it".
