Working in a wide range of forms - digital, text, sound, sculpture, performance and painting - Davide Balula seeks flavor represents a painting series from Balula's œuvre. Derived from natural elements - including burnt wood, dirt, algae and river sediments, which the artist employed as pigments in the Burnt Paintings, River Paintings and Buried Paintings, respectively - the ice cream flavors are produced in collaboration with Michelin Award-winning chef Daniel Burns. Burns is the former pastry chef of Noma in Copenhagen and now the chef/owner of Tørst and Luksus in Brooklyn, New York. With special thanks to Daniel Burns.
