"Dame Edna: BACK WITH A VENGEANCE!," the highly acclaimed comedy at the Music Box Theatre will conclude its Broadway engagement on Sunday, May 1.

Dame Edna, the Tony Award-winning gigastar, has been offered an amazing career opportunity. Suffice it to say, Edna-watchers will be praying for a puff of mauve smoke from the Vatican chimney.

Devised and written by Barry Humphries, "Dame Edna: BACK WITH A VENGEANCE!" opened to rave reviews on November 27. The final performance count will be 163 performances and 17 previews.

In spite of the protests of Dame Edna, her bete noire, Sir Les Patterson is set to appear for one night only on Monday, May 2 at 8 p.m. at the Zipper Theater, 336 West 37th Street. The transcendentally vulgar Sir Les Patterson, Australia's cultural ambassador to the United States, is making his long-awaited New York debut in "SIR LES PATTERSON: UNZIPPED!"

Created by Australian actor, author, painter and composer and racing car driver, Barry Humphries, Sir Les Patterson's principal interests in life are boozing, young women and flatulence.

WARNING: "SIR LES PATTERSON: UNZIPPED!" contains obscene language, rude songs, offensive gestures, arousing anecdotes, and riotous laughter.
