After last night's double-dance extravaganza which left Nicole and Derek in first place, it was time for the dreaded results show, where one duo had to go. Who would make it to next week's semi-finals?!

Nicole and Derek's impressive 50's style Paso Doble was chosen as this weeks' encore dance and Len went so far as to suggest that it was the best routine in the history of Dancing with the Stars. Everything about that routine is incredible- and the judges gave the encore performance a standing ovation.

The Gypsy Kings were tonight's musical guests performing "You've Got a Friend in Me" from the upcoming film "Toy Story 3." Oh...in Spanish! It was a little confusing knowing the words in English but hearing them in Spanish! The dance that accompanied the song was choreographed by Tony and Cheryl and was the inspiration for the dance that will appear in the film...at least that's what Tom told us.

Next was "Dance Center" with Kenny Mayne, Len Goodman, and Jerry Rice. My favorite part? "Chadstick." Get it? Instead of chapstick? Weirdest part of Dance Center... Nicole and Derek smelling their armpits and discussing what they smelled like.

Finally it was time for some results, and Nicole and Derek found out right away that they will be returning for next weeks' semi-finals...then they smelled their armpits some more. Next Chad and Cheryl found out that they were in this weeks bottom two.

A new segment started tonight, the "College Dance Championship." Tonight it was the Tritons of UC San Diego vs. the Boilermakers from Purdue University. The Boilermakers? I'm sorry but that is not a mascot. Panthers are a mascot, or bobcats...or even the Banana Slugs of UC Santa Cruz...not Boilermakers. (And yes, the Banana Slug is really a mascot...look it up on Google images, he's a pretty cute little guy.)

But moving on...the dance team from UC San Diego got good reviews from the judges, who complimented their pattern changes but told them to focus more on movement. The team received 8s from all of the judges.

The Boilermakers were fun to watch, but they didn't seem as in-sync as the Tritons. The judges didn't seem to want to be too critical on these college students, so they kept their review positive, but telling the team that they needed more pattern changes. They awarded Purdue University (PU, hah...) with an 8 and two 7s.

The Gypsy Kings performed another song in Spanish, so I have no idea what they were saying, but it had a fun and upbeat rhythm no matter what they were singing about.

Dance Center came back to discuss Evan's hair, comparing it to Justin Bieber's. Next thing you know, Len was sporting an Evan-inspired wig. They also made fun of Erin, who seems to think that the Ukrainian Maks is from Russia.

The next safe couple was Evan and Ana, and rightly so! That means that either Erin and Maks or Niecy and Louis will be joining Chad and Cheryl in the bottom two. It better be Niecy and Louis, just sayin'.

America got it right! Chad and Cheryl and Niecy and Louis were this weeks' bottom two. And the voters got it right, in my opinion, by sending Niecy and Louis home.

Niecy, with "three c-sections under her belt," did have a good run on the show, and definitely improved throughout. Although she can't "hula-hoop with a Cheerio," she proved she can hold her own on the dance floor. However, she just wasn't at the level of the remaining teams. Her humor and jiggly parts will be missed.

All 4 teams showcase their fancy footwork on Mondays, at 8:00-10:00 PM. The couple with the lowest combined judges' scores and public votes for both performances will be sent home.

Viewers may cast their votes for their favorite teams via phone on Monday night during and up to 30 minutes after the "Dancing with the Stars" performance shows. AT&T customers may also text message their votes by texting the word "VOTE" and entering the number that corresponds to the team they want to support (message and data rates may apply). Viewers may also vote online at www.abc.com starting from the opening of each episode on the East Coast and until 12:00 Noon, ET the following day.

Hosted by Tom Bergeron ("America's Funniest Home Videos"), the celebrities perform choreographed dance routines which will be judged by renowned Ballroom judge Len Goodman and dancer/choreographers Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba, who all return for their tenth season together.
