DISTORTED HOLLYWOOD Kicks Off Tonight at the Laurie Beechman

The 5th installment of Dallas Dubois' acclaimed "Distorted" drag show series is here! Dubois and her merry band of drag stars -- whose DISTORTED DIZNEE show has developed a cult following -- put a bawdy twist on your favorite movie moments in DISTORTED HOLLYWOOD. This Las Vegas-style drag extravaganza stars Dallas DuBois, Holly Dae, Pixie Aventura, Brenda Dharling and Bootsie LeFaris. Performances begin tonight, October 11 where it will run in rotating rep with DISTORTED DIZNEE (replacing long-running hit DISTORTED BROADWAY) at The Laurie Beechman Theatre.

DISTORTED HOLLYWOOD is a 70-minute drag-a-palooza where all of your favorite Silver Screen moments are brought back to life -- with a twist! Classics including Titanic, Wizard of Oz and Mommie Dearest are given a facelift as they are "remixed" along with iconic pop culture moments and songs by the likes of Beyonce, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga. These queens know how to put the tinsel in Tinsletown as they turn the Hollywood Walk of Fame into the Walk of Shame! Join us for this Oscar (and Razzie) worthy night of blockbuster entertainment.

Presented by Daniel Logan and Dallas DuBois, the "Distorted" drag show series began with the premiere of DISTORTED DIZNEE in March 2012 and it has been running ever since. After gaining a cult following, it spawned the holiday-themed DISTORTED KRISTMESS (returning this December) as well as the Great White Way parody DISTORTED BROADWAY, and the special Gay Pride extravaganza DISTORTED PRIDE.

DALLAS DUBOIS is a trained musical theater actor whose credits have included film, television and Off-Broadway productions. As a nightlife entertainer Dallas performs regularly at local venues including Barracuda, Industry, The Ritz, Bar-Tini, Boots and Saddle, Evolve and the legendary Stonewall Inn. She was selected as Next Magazine's Who's Next 2010, a Glammy Award nomination, Miss Grove Hotel, and Miss Fire Island Contest's Most Popular 2009. She is also a member of the drag theater company Shim Mamsir.

DISTORTED HOLLYWOOD runs every other Friday beginning October 11 (in rotation with DISTORTED DIZNEE). Performance time is at 10pm.
