DEAR EVAN HANSEN Extended at the Arden Theatre Company
The production is being extended to July 5, adding eight additional performances.
The Arden Theatre Company is extended its production of the Tony Award-winning musical, Dear Evan Hansen, to July 5, adding eight additional performances. The final production of the Arden's 2025/26 season, Director Terrence J. Nolen brings an urgency and new approach to one of the defining musicals of the past decade. Winner of six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Dear Evan Hansen follows a high school senior whose attempt to belong leads to a lie that grows beyond his control. Featuring songs like “Waving Through a Window” and “You Will Be Found,” the musical continues to resonate for its portrayal of loneliness, visibility, and the pressure to be seen.
The reimagined staging for the production leans into the digital world at the heart of the story, using projections and screens to blur the line between real life and online spaces where identity, connection, and misinformation can quickly spiral out of control. The result is a staging that doesn’t just tell the story but visually embodies how quickly narratives can take on a life of their own online. Preview performances for Dear Evan Hansen begin on Thursday, May 21, with opening night set for Wednesday, May 27.
WHEN: Additional performances for Dear Evan Hansen include the following: Tuesday, June 30: 7 p.m.; Wednesday, July 1: 2 & 7 p.m.; Thursday, July 2: 7 p.m.; Friday, July 3: 7 p.m.; Saturday, July 4: 2 p.m.; and Sunday, July 5: 2 & 7 p.m.
