Alan Cox will play TV talk-show host David Frost in the upcoming national tour of the Tony-nominated Peter Morgan play Frost/Nixon.

Cox will join the previously announced Stacy Keach as  former President Richard Nixon. Michael Grandage, who directed the original London and Broadway productions, also directs the tour.

Producers of the tour are Arielle Tepper Madover, Independent Presenters Network (IPN), Broadway Across America, Fox Theatricals, Mary Lu Roffe and The Donmar Warehouse.

The tour of Frost/Nixon is scheduled to begin Sept. 30 at the Civic Center in Des Moines, IA.

According to press notes, "Frost/Nixon tackles the question: How did David Frost, a famous British talk-show host with a playboy reputation, elicit the apology that the rest of the world was waiting to hear from former President Richard Nixon? The fast-paced new play shows the determination, conviction and cunning of two men as they square off in one of the most monumental political interviews of all time."
