His commitment to individuality and new sounds, as well as his awareness of the history of Black Music, are rare. I mean it as a high compliment when I say his take on music is odd and unpredictable. He is joined by one of my priMary Early influences Michael Gregory. I first heard Michael in the late 70's with Oliver Lake, and it was life-changing.
