Contest: NBC UNIVERSAL PRESENTS DOG SHOW USA

Launched in conjunction with "The National Dog Show Presented by Purina", "Dog Show USA" gives the average dog a chance to strut their stuff and compete for "Best in Show" in addition to a wide range of fun categories including "Cutest Dog," "Owner Look-Alike" and "Best Dog Trick." The broadband site allows participants to load video and photo entries free of charge in a virtual exhibition of canine prowess. To ensure a user-friendly process, "Dog Show USA" web host Kenan Harkin will present a series of "how to" webisodes and conclude with the best moments and behind-the-scenes action. Show dog moms and dads can also enter their pooches through the NBC O&O websites in its 14 markets, where local dog competitions will be open for entries. Contestants will have a chance to win prizes ranging from a year's supply of Purina dog food to a trip to the 2006 National Dog Show in Philadelphia.

Seinfeld and Dancing with the Stars favorite John O'Hurley, noted canine analyst David Frei, and Wayne Ferguson from the Kennel Club of Philadelphia will serve as the blue ribbon panel of judges. Harkin will moderate this distinguished group as they determine the finalists. In the end, the voting public will determine the winners of "Dog Show USA."

• Voting Period: Jan 18-Jan 23, 2006
• Winners will be announced online Tuesday, Jan. 31 and featured on-air during an NBC Sports broadcast on Saturday, Feb. 4.
