The Wedding Singer's Constantine Maroulis, formerly a finalist on "American Idol," has joined the Gotham Stage Company's (GSC) first annual benefit performance, A Night in Gotham, which will be hosted by Paige Davis and directed by Jason Eagan (Ars Nova).

Veterans from both Broadway and Off-Broadway will perform Gotham-inspired songs and scenes.   The show will take place October 9, 7pm curtain, at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street).

At this time, confirmed performers include: Maroulis, Paige Davis, Host ("Trading Spaces," Chicago), Kevin Cahoon (The Wedding Singer), Megan Lawrence (Tony-nominee – The Pajama Game), Kevin Kern (The Wedding Singer), Catherine Brunell  (Thoroughly Modern Millie), Zach Shaffer (The Man Who Came to Dinner, A View from the Bridge), Kimberly Stern (GSC's upcoming Becoming Adele), and Bridget Everett (Off-Broadway's At Least It's Pink).  More stars will be announced.

"Gotham Stage Company was formed in 2005 as a not-for-profit theater. Founded by Michael Barra, Peter Smith, Julia Haubner Smith, and Katie Dietz, GSC was created to allow the founders, and their contemporaries, the opportunity to gain and share experiences, hone their crafts, display their wares, and to produce and perform the types of work that they found lacking in the commercial theatre. Gotham Stage Company officially arrived in the Spring of 2006 with its world premiere production of Randall David Cook's Sake with the Haiku Geisha at The Perry Street Theater. Gotham Stage has since received international exposure and has grown to its current 14 members," state press notes.
