Comedy Troupe Announces January 15 Comedy Class for Teens

Comedy Troupe, EIGHT IS NEVER ENOUGH, will have a special preview comedy class for Teens, Sunday, January 15, 2012 from noon to 2pm at the Broadway Comedy Club 318 West 53rd Street, NY NY 10019. This one time session runs just $20 ($15 in advanced CLICK HERE for online exclusive). The instructor, Walt Frasier, recommends this class for ages 11-17.

This class is great for young comedy veterans and those interested in trying out the art form for the first time. The January 15 session will focus on Improv Techniques, Stage Techniques, and intro to some of the games played by the professional cast of EIGHT IS NEVER ENOUGH (AKA LMAO Off Broadway and IMPROV 4 KIDS). Later this spring classes will also include stand-up and sketch comedy writing and performance.

Comedy classes are the coolest way to get students exited about creative writing, communication, team and leadership skills. These same workshops have been offered to major corporations and performance professionals nationwide, but no one delivers shows and workshop for Teen and pre-Teen groups better than EIGHT IS NEVER ENOUGH. The troupe presents 300+ shows for K-12 audience at schools and camps as well as hosting field trips to their Times Square theater.

Walt Frasier, has served as Director of Instruction of the Comedy Hall of Fame since 2009. In addition to hosting and performing 3000+ professional comedy shows since 2002, Mr Frasier teaches classes at NYC high schools, where currently 100 students receive English elective credits towards graduation. The program is doubling every year and about to expand to 4 new schools in the coming semester. Additional professional credits include Broadway Tours, Off Broadway, Regional Theater, Opera, Shakespeare, and TV (Letterman, MTV, VH1, NICK – Naked Brothers Band, WE, commercials) – also currently working on a number of film projects coming out in the next two years.
