Choreographer Sergio Trujillo Supports R.Evolucion Latina's Choreographers Fest

Sergio Trujillo who is recently working in WHITE NOICE the Musical has taking time to celebrate and empower the efforts of R.Evolucion Latina's Choreographers Festival and sends his message to his associate Choreographer Marcos Santana. As part of the R.Evolucion Latina's Choreographers Festival directed by Broadway's Luis Salgado; Sergio Trujillo, Marcos Santana and the "White Noise" team did an appearance at the Mercy Center in the Bronx where dancers from the festival shared their time, and dance under Sergio's Choreography with kids from the Mercy Center.

Trujillo made his Broadway debut as a performer in Jerome Robbins' Broadway in 1989 and also appeared in Guys and Dolls (1992) and Fosse (1999). He made his choreographic debut with All Shook Up in 2005. That same year he choreographed Jersey Boys on Broadway, and he worked with the Las Vegas, West End, Chicago, and US national tour companies as well. Additional credits on Broadway include the 2009 revival of Guys and Dolls, Next To Normal (2009), and Memphis (2009).

The R.Evolucion Latina's Choreographers Festival is only week away from the big opening, and the full cast includes: Diana Follegati, Eric Grijalva, Michael Grijalva, Harold Echevarria, Jhon Caceres, Jose Luis Delgado, Paul Romero, Pedro Ibanez, Juan Pablo Lostannau, Veronica Alvarez, Maria Alejandra Valera, Sandra Beque, Juan Pablo Andres, Mia Noel, Jorge Chafloque, Jeremy Iturri, William Mendoza, Pierry Eche Our Beyond Workshop Series dancers are: Amanda Grace Holt, Ana De Villas, Arielle Rosales, Brittany Conigatti, Courtney Ortiz, Daniel Gutierrez, Ehizoje Aseke, Elizabeth Walsh, Freia Canals, Grace Freeman, Jennifer Jacuska, Jewel Elizabeth, Jose Luaces, Kimber Benedict, Marguerite Hemmings, Mario Martinez, Martina Kocichova, Milteri Tucker, Monica Delgado, Shawn Beck Gifford, Sidney Erik Wright, Sol Gilgorri, Susi Beck-Gifford, Vicky Lopez, Yaremis Felix, and Zuleinette Ralat.

All of these amazing dancers are being supported by our star-studded ensemble of choreographers: Amanda Turner, Daniel Fetecua -Soto, Dario Vaccaro, Gabriela Garcia, Luis Salgado, Marcos Santana, Rebeca Tomas, Valeria Cossu, and Vania Masias.

The Broadway team putting it all together includes In The Height's Heather Hogan as Associate Director/Producer, Matt Steffens as Assistant Choreographer to all the choreographers and to the Director and Luis Salgado as Director/Producer of the event.

The Choreographers Festival is March 28th at 8pm, and March 29th at 1pm and 7pm at the Manhattan Movement and Arts Center.

D1 dancers ran an open rehearsal at Pachamama Peruvian Arts Center in Queens last Friday, and it was a huge success! Many gathered to work with R.Evolucion Latina and D1 and were inspired by their story.
