Channing, one of America's most beloved and enduring theatrical legends, is launching her first official website on September 15th. On the road as well as the information super highway, Carol Channing, famed actress, singer, and Broadway's "first lady of musical comedy"—Now, officially Doctor Carol Channing having recently received an honorary doctoral degree from the California State University, Stanislaus—is making theatrical housecalls with her one woman show.

In 2003, Channing published her autobiography, "Just Lucky I Guess: A Memoir of Sorts," that received critical acclaim nationwide, proving the nostalgic prophecy "Dolly will never go away again" to be true. After the overwhelming response the octogenarian decided to take her spirited warmth and distinctive baritone voice on the road with her highly successful and critically applauded one-woman variety show, entitled "The First Eighty Years are the Hardest" touring extensively all over the world.  The New York Times Theater review declared "Back Where She Belongs...the audience jumped to its feet more than once.  We were watching a master performer." While the Associated Press observed "The audience clearly was there to worship, and Channing did not disappoint."  Conversational in style, audiences feel as though they've had an intimate chat directly with Ms. Channing, as she regales them with stories from a long and amazing career and performs a mixture of both her trademark musical numbers as well as a few additional surprises.
