The hit cabaret series Cabaret Cares continues with "Divapalooza 8" on September 23 at 9:30PM at The Laurie Beechman Theatre. The ongoing hit cabaret series at the Laurie Beechman Theatre benefits Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS and Help Is On The Way Today.

Broadway Cares is the nations leading grant making AIDS organization, and Help Is On The Way Today is a brand new grass roots non-for-profit organization that assists and helps children living with AIDS. Joseph is also the founder of Help Is On the Way Today. Since its start in 2004 Joseph John Productions has raised and distributed over $50,000 to people living with HIV and AIDS. Joseph created Cabaret Cares in the summer of 2005 when it raised over $9000.00 for Broadway Cares.

"Divapalooza" is a tribute to the great Diva's of stage and screen. The twist is that the songs are performed by men.  The show is not done in drag just the men singing the hits of the Diva's.

Performers include Aaron Lee Battle, Ricky Ritzel. Rick Peets, Dennis Petragnani, John Schaefer, Jay Rogers, Peter Mac, Leon Hall, Robert Fowler, Stacey Todd Holt and Frantz Hall.

Previous Cabaret Cares concerts have included appearances by JoAnne Worley, Peter Mac in "Judy and Me," and Christian Hoff with cast members from Jersey Boys.

Cabaret Cares "Divapalooza 8" takes place September 23 at 9:30PM (doors open at 9PM). There is a $25 cover and $15 food/drink minimum.  To make reservations call 212-695-6909.  The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located at The West Bank Café, 407 West 42nd Street.
