Directed by Derrick Leon, and acted by Max Tullgren, Boone Sommers and Kat Tyler, comes the bold new play Confessions of a Secret Camgirl. A provocative, funny, and surprisingly heartfelt new play by Kat Tyler, will make its world premiere as part of the 2026 New York Theater Festival. The production follows Lucy, a struggling young actress in New York City who performs nightly for an audience of strangers under the screen name LuckyLittleLucy. As her online persona grows increasingly successful, the line between performance and reality begins to blur, forcing Lucy to confront the cost of survival, ambition, intimacy, and the stories we tell about ourselves.
Blending sharp comedy with emotional honesty, Confessions of a Secret Camgirl explores modern sex work, digital identity, and the relentless pressure to be seen in a city where everyone is performing for something.. or someone. The play offers an unflinching look at the gig economy and the artist's life in a world where an online persona is more powerful than ever.
Performances will run Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 6:15 PM, Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 2:15 PM and Sunday, June 7, 2026 at 6:00 PM.
