CMA Anounces Fall Grant Deadlines

Chamber Music America (CMA) announces two jazz grant opportunities with October application deadlines:

Presenting Jazz, for U.S. presenters that work with U.S. jazz ensembles in public performance. Application deadline: October 15

Past grantees include the American Jazz Museum (Kansas City, MO) with The Clayton Brothers Quintet; Ars Nova Workshop (Philadelphia, PA) with Karl Berger's In the Spirit of Don Cherry; the University of Minnesota's Northrop/Concert & Lectures, (Minneapolis, MN) with the Regina Carter Quartet; and Planet Arts (Catskill, NY) with Luis Bonilla Quintet, among others.

CMA/FACE French American Jazz Exchange for collaborations between French and U.S. jazz musicians. Application deadline: October 22

Past grantees and their collaborators include: Hélène Breschand with Zeena Parkins, Elliott Sharp and Franck Vigroux; Vincent Chancey with Serge Pesce; and Nguyên Lê with Rudresh Mahanthappa, Mieko Miyazaki and Prabhu Edouard, among others.

Chamber Music America, the national service organization for the ensemble music profession, was founded in 1977 to develop and strengthen an evolving chamber music community.
