A story of PTSD but told like an Ali Wong special, Jacob-Sebastian Phillips's Closed Eyes and Parted Lips is a brave and hilarious account of one man's struggle to navigate his own PTSD as a result of childhood sexual abuse.

With unflinching honesty and unexpected humor, the audience is invited on a journey from the Deep South to the streets of New York, into a world of flashbacks, panic attacks, support groups, and animal hoarding.

A piece as funny as it is brave, Closed Eyes and Parted Lips is a meditation on memory, survival, and the universal impulse to heal.
