Casting has been announced for The Broadway Musicals of 1929. The one-night only concert of songs born on Broadway in 1929 will feature a cast of nine that includes Leslie Anderson, Nancy Anderson, Christine Andreas, Bryan Batt, Ron Bohmer, Mary Bond Davis, Jeff Denman, Noah Racey, and Emily Skinner.

The creator/writer/host of Broadway by the Year, Scott Siegel, promises The concert on March 7th will feature songs from a broad cross section of American musical theater giants. "It seems like almost all of the greats had shows up in 1929," said Siegel. "Some of them had two or more new shows in the same year! We'll have songs from Cole Porter, Rodgers & Hart, The Gershwins, Jerome Kern & Oscar Hammerstein, Kalmar & Ruby, Fats Waller, and more. Frankly," Siegel continued, "the number of famous songs that came out of Broadway in 1929 is amazing." Among the standards that you'll hear on Monday, March 7th are "With a Song in My Heart," "Why Was I Born?," and "Find Me a Primitive Man." But Siegel also promises a bountiful number of beautiful lost songs.
