Broadway For Self Help Africa Benefit to Feature Matt Doyle, Ben Fankhauser, and More

On April 23rd the 5th annual Broadway for Self Help Africa event will bring together some of Broadway's biggest stars for a night of song and celebration benefiting Self Help Africa at The Cutting Room in New York City. Broadway for Self Help Africa will feature musical direction by Ryan Fielding Garrett (Kinky Boots).

Performances by Matt Doyle (Book of Mormon, War Horse), Ben Fankhauser (Newsies), Tony LePage (Come from Away), F. Michael Haney (Charlie and the Chocolate Family), Oyoyo Joi (Book of Mormon), Brittney Johnson (Les Miserable), Jasmin Richardson (The Bodyguard), Shannon O'Boyle (Kinky Boots), Colton Ryan (Dear Evan Hansen), Courtney Hammond (Rock of Ages) Max Chernin (Bright Star) and more!

All proceeds from the benefit will go directly to Self Help Africa, a non-profit with a pro-profit approach to rural Africa. Through nurturing entrepreneurship and providing economic opportunities, Self Help Africa helps to lift some of the poorest communities out of poverty. Over 30 years, the organization has provided millions of people with the opportunity to make a sustainable income through their own initiatives: A help up, not a hand-out.
