For the first time since its inception six years ago, the musical theater concert sensation Broadway by the Year will be available for presentation in venues outside New York City. Hailed by The New York Times, Variety, Time Out NY, The Daily News, The New York Post and other major media, the series created, written and hosted for The Town Hall by Scott Siegel will now be available to audiences from coast to coast.

Each Broadway by the Year concert is dedicated to the music born on Broadway in a particular year. The series has so far presented twenty-two musical snapshots of Broadway years between 1925 and 1978 and it has featured the talents of many of the musical theaters greatest stars.

"It's my intention," said the series creator and producer, Scott Siegel, "to bring Broadway by the Year concerts to audiences all over the country. There is a genuine love of Broadway music throughout America and this series provides a unique and entertaining way to experience both its history and its excellence in one exciting concert...We will, of course, have to adapt what we do at Town Hall to the necessities of the road," Siegel continues, "and to that end our initial company will offer a first act of classic Broadway tunes entirely from the year 1930 and the second act will consist of songs from one of the last golden years on Broadway, 1964."

The cast of the Broadway by the Year national company will be made up of veterans of the Town Hall series, which means that these shows will feature Broadway and cabaret stars of considerable magnitude. The popular series, which sells out the 1,500 seat landmark Town Hall every season for its four different shows, has already reached beyond its loyal subscribers with an unprecedented string of one dozen straight #1 bestselling CDs (Bayview Records) that are edited versions of the live concerts. "For several years I've been asked about taking these concerts on the road," said Siegel. "Now I'm ready to do it. We've already been booked to close the season for one theater in Florida this coming spring, and I think that once people know that this series is available it will become as popular all across the country as it is right here in New York."
