Tony Award winner Leslie Odom Jr. just participated in a Facebook Live chat, in which he first sent his best wishes to fathers everywhere, including Lin-Manuel, his own father as well as his mentors. Then, he announced to his fans that he will depart the hit musical on July 9, 2016 (along with Lin-Manuel Miranda and Phillipa Soo).

He answered some questions including, what does it feel like to "Encouragement from the American Theatre Wing, Broadway League and Tony Voters that he's on the right track and the right path"...and will do the best throughout his career to live up to the honor.

He also noted that as of right now, he's not a part of the show's filming this upcoming week.

About the show, he also noted that it's been the most completely wonderful, healing and inspiring experience from beginning to end. The most exciting part to him? The rehearsal room, when the show was uncharted and undiscovered territory. "This thing could be anything, what are we going to make? I'm excited to have a blank page again and to find something new."

Lastly, he's promised charity auctions of some of the many things in his dressing room.

Leslie Odom, Jr. won the 2016 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical for his role asAaron Burr in Hamilton. Select theatre credits include Hamilton(Public Theater); tick, tick...BOOM! (City Center Encores!), Leap of Faith (Broadway), Rent (Broadway). Select TV/film: "Law & Order: SVU," "Gotham," "Person of Interest," "Supernatural," Red Tails, and "House of Lies."
