After two successful seasons at Dayton, Ohio's Human Race Theatre, the musical theatre performance program The Artist's Crossing is moving. Its third summer intensive will be held in New York City.

Master Tutors this season will include Seth Barrish (co-Founder and co-Artistic Director of The Barrow Group, Director of The Tricky Part), Ellen Beckerman (Artistic Director of Light Box, Director of Ajax: 100% Fun), Judith Blazer (Titanic, Bernarda Alba), Kathryn Morath (Nick & Nora, The Pirates of Penzance, Instructor at AMDA - NYC & LA branches) and Sally Vahle (Associate Professor of Voice, Speech and Acting in the University of North Texas Department of Dance).

The weekend will conclude with an all-star Broadway Panel Discussion with friends of The Artist's Crossing, including Mary Testa (Marie Christine, 42nd Street revival), David Garrison (Wicked, "Married With Children"), Mary Mitchell Campbell (Musical Director & Orchestrator for Broadway-bound production of Company), Martin Moran (Spamalot, author of The Tricky Part). Other industry guests and Master Tutors will be announced shortly.

"Founded in 2003, by Judith Blazer (Artistic Director), Joseph Bates (Director of Education) and Landon Scott Heimbach (Executive Director), The Artist's Crossing is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the mentoring of young talent by bringing together a diverse group of seasoned artists to guide and instruct young performers. Through workshops, one-on-one lessons, and Master Classes, The Artist's Crossing serves as a springboard for the creation of new works as well," according to press notes.

In addition to Advanced Acting and Voice Classes, the Viewpoints, and Career Consultations annually offered at The Artist's Crossing, this season's workshop will also feature:

--"Metamorphosis of Vocal Style:" A workshop exploring elements which inform vocal and stylistic versatility for today's singer.
--"Improvisational Approach to Text and Character:" Using classic improvisational techniques, this workshop will explore character and action.
--"Flexibility and the Voice:" A workshop designed to strengthen, stretch and increase flexibility in the speaking voice.
--"Acting for Film & TV:" A comprehensive overview and on-camera workshop for the stage-trained actor that will cover filmmaking processes, slating tricks, and cold reading/audition tips.

This season, 20 young artists will be selected to join the 3rd annual company. The cost for the workshop and panel is $300.
