Bette Midler to Guest Judge on The Marriage Ref, 4/23

Stage and screen star Bette Midler will be appearing on this week's episode of NBC's The Marriage Ref as a guest judge.  Midler will be joined by other guest Howie Mandel. The Marriage Ref reality series airs on NBC every Thusday at 10PM.

The premise of the show involves real life couples who's marrital problems are discussed and voted on by the judges accordinng to who they think is right.

Midler made her Broadway debut in the original cast of Fiddler on the Roof. She has starred insuch films as Ruthless People and Hocus Pocus, as well as animated films such as Oliver & Company and Fantasia 2000.  Her many other film credits include Beaches, The First Wives Club, Down and Out in Beverly Hills, and The Stepford Wives. In addition, she played Mama Rose in the CBS television version of Gypsy.  During her more than forty-year career, Midler has been nominated for two Academy Awards; and won three Grammy Awards, four Golden Globes, three Emmy Awards, and a special Tony Award. 

The executive producers of The Marriage Ref are Jerry Seinfeld, Ellen Rakieten, Nick Emerson, Jennifer O'Connor, and Al Berman.
