A new behind the scenes featurette showcasing the spectacular opening night of mega-musical mega-hit THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA in Hamburg late last year is now available to view.

Hal Prince's legendary original production made an impressive premiere last November, complete with paparazzi-attended red carpet event and opening night party besides the phantastic performance of the musical itself onstage.

Of note, celebrities in attendance at the Hamburg premiere included Dita Von Teese and Boris Becker, among others, who generously took the time to pose for photos with the masked man at the center of the story, as well.

Andrew Lloyd Webber himself even shares his enthusiasm for the new production in a short red carpet clip, calling it "fantastic" - and, appropriately so.

More information and behind the scenes pictures from the event are available at the official site here.
