On July 17th, Wicked's Shoshana Bean will host the finale of "Monday Nights, New Voices."  She replaces the previously announced Christiane Noll.

The acclaimed series, now in it's second year, at the West Bank Cafe's Laurie Beechman Theatre.  The 7pm show will feature the talents of Elissa Goldstein, Jaclyn Huberman, Ritchie Portela, Lauren Lebowitz and Sarah-Blair Irwin.   Composers Scott Alan, Barbara Anselmi, Joe Iconis and Jim Colleran will each accompany the "New Voices" on material from there songbook.   Scott Alan produces the series, with musical direction by Barbara Anselmi.

Bean, who recently starred as Elphaba in Broadway's Wicked, played Shelley in the original cast of the Tony-winning musical Hairspray. Originally from Portland, Oregon, Bean attended the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music before heading to NYC. She was first cast in the Off-Broadway production of Godspell and then in the national tour of Leader of the Pack. Bean was also seen in the all-star Hair benefit concert. The singer-actress is currently working on her debut solo album for Pure Records.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located at 407 West 42nd Street at Ninth Avenue. There is a $10 cover charge and a $15 food/drink minimum. Call (212) 695-6909 for reservations between the hours of noon and 8 PM.  There are no age restrictions.
