Chad Kimball has been making some beautiful sounds around Los Angeles thanks to his frequent appearances with Upright Cabaret, and will be featured in their One Night Stand's series September 14, 2007 at Mark's Restaurant, in his one-man show "Obvious."

Getting his Broadway start in the ill-fated Frank Wildhorn musical, "The Civil War," which ran for only 61 performances at the St. James Theatre in 1999, Kimball has had a string of high profile roles throughout the New York stage scene.

Following "The Civil War," Kimball joined the 30th Anniversary off-Broadway revival of Stephen Schwartz's "Godspell" which had a slightly more successful run of nine months, which led directly to his next role in another revival, Stephen Sondheim's "Into the Woods." He donned a rather "sagging" costume playing Milky-White the Cow, which not only earned him critical praise but recognition on Entertainment Weekly's "It List."

Other productions Kimball joined were not so well received, including two short lived but much talked about musicals, the Beach Boys tuner "Good Vibrations" and the John Lennon inspired "Lennon," both of which were met with untimely ends.

Kimball recently sat down with BroadwayWorld's James Sims to run over his experiences both on Broadway and in Los Angeles, where aside from his turns on the Upright Cabaret stage, he has appeared in a couple local productions including a reading of "Nerds://A Musical Software Satire" and the upcoming "Little Fish."
