BWW TREASURE HUNT: Bernadette Peters Sings Her 1962 Single 'Academy Award'

Just around the corner from Oscar Week, we would like to welcome you and introduce you to BroadwayWorld.com's Fun & Newest Feature - TREASURE HUNT.

TREASURE HUNT came to us in the guise of receiving submissions to bring to our attention either recordings, or videos of things we're certainly interested in, but had no idea were 'out there' and we are now deeming them as 'treasures!'

As our debut entry, sent in by a fan, we introduce you to 'Academy Award', recorded in 1962 as a 45 RPM single by Bernadette Peters on the United Artists Records Label.

Perfectly timed to next Sunday's Oscars, this rare recording of 'Academy Award' was Bernadette's first ever single, and had a B-Side of a song called 'Charm Bracelet'.
