BWW Student Blog: Cassandra Hsiao - What It's Like to Rap a Question to Tony-Award Winner Lin-Manuel Miranda
at the Moana Press Conference.

"How do you write like you're running out of time?... How do you write like tomorrow won't arrive? How do you write like you need it to survive? How do you write every second you're alive?"
Aaron Burr along with the ensemble of "Hamilton" sing the lyrics mentioned above to Alexander Hamilton, in awe and in envy of not only his writing prowess but also his prolificness. The man is "non-stop," Burr calls the ten-dollar founding father. These lyrics have become the driving beat of my life as a young writer and artist myself.
So, when I had the chance to ask Lin-Manuel Miranda himself a question at Disney's "Moana" Press Conference, I did not throw away my shot. I asked the Renaissance man how he does it all-in rap form.
You don't have to wait for it any longer. Click below to see his priceless reaction, including a mic drop.
I am, indeed, satisfied with his full answer.
Miranda was one of the songwriters for "Moana." Catch the latest Disney Princess movie in theaters November 23, 2016.
