BWW Reviews: Manhattan by Sail's BURLESQUE CRUISE - A Night of Fun and Frolic on the Water

Set sail from Battery Park in New York City for a cruise around the city's waterways on the Clipper City Tall Ship. Presented by Dances of Vice, Manhattan by Sail launches their Burlesque Cruise on the second Thursday of each month through September. The cruise leaves the dock at 9:45 and returns at 11:45 for two delightful hours.

Savor a delicious mixed drink, wine or beer as you enjoy the picture-postcard views of the city's lights and lively burlesque entertainment. As you take in Lady Liberty in all her glory, there are also beautiful ladies aboard whose seductive dances will captivate you as you relax on the cruise and wind down from your day.

We enjoyed the July Burlesque Cruise and were entertained by the comical and charming MC for the night, Bastard Keith. He had the pleasure of introducing the three talented women, Gin Minsky, Cassandra Rosebeetle and Rosie Cheeks. Their sexy, yet tasteful burlesque strip tease performances completely mesmerized the audience.

And, you will always remember the experience of being a passenger on this incredible schooner. The Clipper City Tall Ship is the newest and largest addition Manhattan by Sail's fleet. It is an elegant, grand 158-ft. long vessel, with masts and rigging reaching up 120 feet from the deck that can accommodate up to 134 passengers. The decks are spacious and comfortable, with ample seating, a full bar and a raised quarter deck back aft that allows for wonderful views of the city and its harbor.

The Clipper City Tall Ship departs at the South end of Battery Park in Lower Manhattan just West of the Staten Island Ferry terminal and Battery Gardens Restaurant. The location is easily reached by subway and city busses. Passengers should plan to be at the location at least 30 minutes prior to departure to get their boarding passes.

Reservations are strongly encouraged. For more information, visit their web site at or call (212) 619-6900. For additional information on the Burlesque Sail, visit
