BWW Previews: PRANTIC CULTURAL SOCIETY CELEBRATES DURGA PUJA at Indirapuram, UP

As the autumn breeze fills the air it's time for the festivities to unwrap in India. Bengalis across the country are gearing up for the festival that celebrates the victory of good over evil and the talks of Durga Puja can be heard at almost every neighborhood in north and east India.

Prantic Cultural Society, that was adjudged Delhi NCR's Durga Puja in 2016, has elaborate plans for its 9th edition of Durga Puja celebrations. The biggest festival for Bengalis begins from September 24, 2017 onwards.
This year's theme is a contemporary take on eco awareness as a mix of terracotta design and eco-friendly pandal with greet the visitors. The Durga Puja pandal decor also pays homage to the prominent music personalities from India such as Manna Dey, Satyajit Ray, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle, Hemant Kumar and retells their stories. Special designers have come from Kolkata to create an eco-friendly Pandal, located on Shipra Mall Grounds, besides the NH24 underpass in Indirapuram,
Prantic will organize the Durga Puja celebrations starting September 24 (Chaturthi) with the Navratri Mela, which will see wide participation of non-Bengali community residing in the area. Cultural nights can be enjoyed over the next 5 days i.e. from Chaturthi till Maha Navami (September 29), with major attractions being famous Bollywood playback singer Jolly Mukherjee and Bengali folk band Bhoomi.
The Puja concludes on Dashami (September 30).
