I'M BLUE, SKIES is actor, singer, and songwriter Cheyenne Jackson's first full-length album of original music. Released today, the record is produced by Thomas "Tawgs" Salter and The ELEV3N. Jackson co-wrote the tracks on the record with the likes of pop songwriter SIA, Chris Braide, Stevie Aiello, and Charlotte Sometimes.

In Jackson's extensive career he has performed in a dozen Broadway productions, and has starred in various films and television shows like Glee, Behind the Candelabra, United 93, and 30 Rock. Jackson's other achievements include two sold out performances at Carnegie Hall, a solo concert debut at The Kennedy Center, and the 2010 release of The Power of Two, a critically acclaimed studio album he released with Michael Feinstein. He released four singles in 2012 through SONY/ATV/ Hickory Records, with whom he has a songwriting contract.

The are 12 tracks on the fun and uplifting album I'M BLUE, SKIES. The tracks blend aspects of the pop and folk genre, producing a sound that is uniquely Jackson. His music is entertaining and enticing, and sure to brighten the mood of any listener. I'M BLUE, SKIES will pull you in with its first track, and will keep your toes tapping throughout.

"I Don't Wanna Know" is an empowering number about love, loss, and what if's. Its music video is equipped with good looking muscle men and women with long skirts and large movements dancing around Jackson in a fashion that reminds us of his Broadway roots. This number will be the one most repeated on iPods, and the one listeners are most likely to sing along to. "Don't Wanna Know" is a song about real life that expresses how some relationships just end, even if you wish they didn't.

On the track "You Get Me," Jackson duets with Charlotte Sometimes from NBC's The Voice. Their voices blend together effortlessly. They harmonize and produce a stunning sound. The track is fun, flirty, and admittedly has a future as a great karaoke track.

"She's Pretty, She Lies" is a beautiful track with picturesque lyrics and also features Jackson's falsetto. The latter will give you goosebumps. The song is stunning and has a slow melody that serenades and draws in listeners. "Can't explain why I'm still waiting, just a game I'm lovin' playing and "She's a queen, and you can't match her," are two lyrics of the song that constructs a tasteful look at a woman someone is longing after. This is quite refreshing in an time where most songs about love are either break-up tunes, or raunchy and not nearly as classy as "She's Pretty, She Lies."

There is no weak track on the record. The album is one hit after the other, channeling various sounds to keep listeners drawn to Jackson's sound. Jackson's vocals remind us that he is a Broadway star, but his original sound proves that he is a man whose music is ready for the radio. His music has a catchy, upbeat sound that is ideal to listen to on a drive. I'M BLUE, SKIES is a perfect summer album.
