- WCBS 2 News story airing on Sunday-Maks Chmerkovskiy and Kym Johnson Join the Show this Friday-Hit Show Extended to February 14 2010This week Broadway's BURN THE FLOOR has a lot to be thankful for: It has just announced its final extension to February 14 2010Dance star Maksim Chmerkovskiy returns to the show this Friday November 27 at the 2 PM matinee, now partnered with new "Dancing with the Stars" champion Kym Johnson, who will be making her Broadway debut. Maks made his Broadway bow with the show this July.
Maks will also be on Good Morning America tomorrow, Thanksgiving morning, Thu Nov 26 at 8:30 AM to talk about his return to the show, and to promote GMA's holiday coat drive. GMA airs on Channel 7 in the tri-state area.
BURN THE FLOOR will also be featured on CBS 2 News Sunday Morning this Sunday, November 29th at 6:45 AM on "Eye on New York." WCBS airs on Channel 2 in the tri-state area.
BURN THE FLOOR was the first Broadway show of the new season and opened August, going on to break box office records at the Longacre Theatre. The NY Daily News called it "Athletic, sensual and rocket-fueled." Bloomberg.com called it "Utterly theatrical" and NY 1 TV called it "Hot, hot, hot. Pulse pounding choreography. A two hour adrenaline rush featuring some of the best and best-looking ballroom dancers in the world."
