Lincoln Center Theater's presentation of Barbara Cook'S BROADWAY! , which played to sold-out houses in its June engagement at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater, will return for an additional two-week engagement on Monday (July 12). The concert, which premiered to critical acclaim at the Vivian Beaumont Theater this spring, will play an additional 12 performances through Saturday, July 24.

In her new concert the acclaimed singer Barbara Cook, along with musical director and arranger Wally Harper on piano and Peter Donovan on bass, takes her audience on a musical tour of the Golden Years of Broadway. For two decades, from 1951 to 1971, Barbara Cook was a leading star of the Broadway musical theater, creating roles in such classics as Candide, The Music Man and She Loves Me!. In Barbara Cook'S BROADWAY the Tony Award winner performs her favorite songs from this legendary period, and beyond

Barbara Cook is the winner of a 2004 New York Drama Critics Circle Award for her contribution to musical theater and was nominated for a 2004 Drama Desk Award for Barbara Cook'S BROADWAY. In between the Vivian Beaumont and Mitzi E. Newhouse engagement of her concert, Miss Cook premiered Barbara Cook's BROADWAY in London's West End and a live performance CD of the concert, recorded during the Vivian Beaumont run, is available from DRG Records.
