BABY IT'S YOU! To Close on Broadway September 4, 2011

The producers of Baby It's You! have announced the show will play its final Broadway performance Sunday, September 4, 2011 at 3pm, at Broadway's Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street). Baby It's You will have played 33 preview and 151 regular performances.
"My producing partners and I are honored to have work with this exceptional cast who have made a night in the theatre a seismic experience for over one hundred thousand theatergoers at the Broadhurst Theatre," said producer Gregg Maday, "We would like to give heartfelt thanks to our amazing audiences who are on their feet dancing with us at every performance.
Baby It's You! is inspired by the true story of Florence Greenberg, the woman who changed the recording world forever when she discovered The Shirelles and created Scepter Records, becoming the music industry's first female powerhouse. Starring Tony Award winner Beth Leavel as Greenberg, BABY IT'S YOU! was conceived by Floyd Mutrux, directed by Floyd Mutrux and Sheldon Epps, and written by Tony nominated book writers Mutrux and Colin Escott.
Tickets for Baby It's You! range from $48.50 - $126.50, with tickets on sale at the Broadhurst Theatre box office or at Telecharge.com (212-239-6200). The playing schedule for Baby It's You! is as follows: Tuesday at 7pm, Thursday through Saturday at 8pm,with matinees Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 2pm and Sunday at 3pm.
