"I happened upon INTO THE WOODS when I was 15-years old and my parents were going through a particularly ugly divorce. I gravitated instantly toward this musical about parents and their children, the legacies we leave behind (good and bad), and the powers of forgiveness and togetherness."

Musical theatre historian Mark Robinson, author of THE WORLD OF MUSICALS, THE DISNEY SONG ENCYCLOPEDIA and THE TELEVISION THEME SONG ENCYCLOPEDIA, has begun preparations for INTO THE WOODS - A BOOK THAT EXPLORES THE MUSICAL.

"It is important to document theatre history," Robinson explains,"so that future generations can truly comprehend the impact and artistic value of the great works."

Robinson has assembled an attractice collection of donated incentives to help fund his project, including autographed CDs from Laura Benanti, a GOLDEN GIRLS script signed by Bea Arthur, Betty White and Rue McClanahan and a headshot session with photographer Kathryn Lumpkin.
