In November the Grammy Award-winning Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will take audiences everywhere from "Innerspace" to a galaxy far, far away.

The month begins with November 5 and 7 performances featuring the world premiere of Jonathan Leshnoff's Symphony No. 2 "Innerspace" and Beethoven's Symphony No. 7, before the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra presents the highly anticipated "Star Wars & More: The Music of John Williams," with two evening performances and a Saturday matinee, November 27-28.

November also includes performances of Verdi's Requiem on November 12 and 14, two youth concerts on November 15, and the final concerts of the Mostly Beethoven Festival on November 19 and 21. Additional details for each November performance include:

November 5 and 7, 8:00 p.m. -- Inspired by the book "Innerspace" by Rabbi Aryeh Kaplan, American composer Leshnoff's Symphony No. 2 explores the wonders of Jewish mysticism. The concerts, conducted by Music Director Robert Spano, also include one of Beethoven's most compelling and thrilling works, Symphony No. 7.

November 12 and 14, 8:00 p.m. -- Music Director Robert Spano conducts Verdi's Requiem with special guests soprano Latonia Moore, mezzo-soprano Jennifer Johnson Cano, four-time Grammy Award-winning tenor Anthony Dean Griffey and bass Nathan Stark.

November 15 -- This date includes two youth concerts to create one big day of family friendly music, starting with the season's first Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra (ASYO) concert, under the baton of ASYO Music Director Joseph Young at 3:00 p.m., followed by the annual Talent Development Program Musicale & Aspire Awards, at 7:00 p.m., featuring the 2015 Aspire Award recipient, Anthony McGill, Principal Clarinet, New York Philharmonic and "America's Got Talent" finalists The Sons of Serendip with TDP alumnus, Mason Morton, Harp.

November 19 and 21, 8:00 p.m. -- Superstar pianist Yevgeny Sudbin performs Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1 and Brahms' Piano Quartet in G Minor conducted by Carlos Kalmar.

November 27, 8:00 p.m. and November 28, 2:00 and 8:00 p.m. -- In anticipation of December's worldwide release of "Star Wars - Episode VII: The Force Awakens" the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Delta POPS! series presents three performances of "Star Wars & More: The Music of John Williams" including scores for Superman, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park, Saving Private Ryan and other favorites with Principal Pops Conductor Michael Krajewski. The Saturday matinee performance is a 75-minute family friendly event for all ages.
