Adobe Theater Company's Jeremy Dobrish will direct an upcoming reading of COLLEGE: The Musical.  Mr. Dobrish is joined on the creative team by music director Mark Hartman (Avenue Q), and by casting director Mark Simon (Lovemusik, Parade).  The presentation will be held May 3rd at 1:00 and 4:00pm at the Princeton Club of New York (15 West 43rd Street).  Attendance is by invitation only.

The young company features Ricky Ashley, who starred in the recent premiere of Jason Robert Brown's 13 in Los Angeles, along with Juliana Ashley Hansen and Adam Shorsten, both finalists on NBC's GREASE: You're the One that I Want, Drama League Honoree and Broadway veteran Brandon Espinoza (Captains Courageous, Gypsy), Emily Klein (Parade), Casey Ford Alexander, Savannah Wise (Les Miserables ) and Anne Letscher (Fiddler on the Roof).

COLLEGE: The Musical is a "tuneful and honest look at modern campus life, written by two guys who were just there.  Drew Fornarola graduated from Princeton last June and is currently a member of the Tony Award - winning BMI Workshop, and Scott Elmegreen is a Princeton senior studying creative writing under mentor Joyce Carol Oates.  Together they've written the story of Nathan, a naive but enthusiastic freshman, as he discovers a world of parties, pizza, pastel polo shirts, the occasional class, and of course, more parties.  The show was written with the belief that what musical theater really needs is a few more keg stand dance breaks, and it includes such rousing anthems as Alcoholeluia (oh Lord, we've seen the Miller Light…), and Click, Smash! - a celebration of the mindless joys of video games - along with some more serious reflections on growing up and trying to find oneself amid the chaos and insanity of college life," state press notes.

Recent Off-Broadway directorial credits for Mr. Dobrish include In the Wings, The Joys of Sex, Class Mothers '68, and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)
